Ceramics I and Ceramics II are year-long courses for students who love to work with clay. Students must have successfully completed Visual Arts Composition I and II before enrolling in Ceramics.
Over the course of the year, students will learn handbuilding techniques (slab construction, coil building, and pinch pots) as well as the pottery wheel. Students will also learn how to work with different glazes, washes, and other finishing techniques to create functional pottery, sculpture, and even musical instruments.
